SUNSET ON OMAHA BEACH

My interpretation of a snapshot from a French relative who visited Omaha beach on June 6th where thousands of brave souls stormed up on it, 80 years previous.
A vibrant sunset with hues of orange and pink reflects on a body of water, while the sky above transitions from warm tones to cooler shades. Thick, expressive brushstrokes give a sense of texture and movement to the scene.

The texture is formed by a swirling caulking compound.
